Tiger tank on the Ehrenmal (cenotaph) in Kassel, 2011
Tiger tank on the Ehrenmal (cenotaph) in Kassel, 2011 On the memorial to the Panzercorps Grossdeutschland on the lower terrace of the Ehrenmal, I discover the Tiger tank again. It's aimed slightly downward and looks like its suspended from the relief script. After having to view so many tanks in the course of our research, I recognize it straight away as a Tiger. It looks the same as the Panzer VI Tiger I while being loaded in the Henschel plant hovering from two cranes several meters above the ground, and it is faithful to the original in every detail, except that its cannon is pointing in the other direction.
