Rosebay Willowherb or Fireweed
Rosebay Willowherb or Fireweed This was a special type of pioneer species from recent history. It grew in urban areas where air raids and ground combat had created expanses of rubble and debris. The term "Trümmerblumen" [debris flowers], which was coined as a reference to unusual plants or plants previously unknown to urban spaces, was used quite often when referring to the Rosebay Willowherb.
