Household products, 1945 In 1945, immediately after the war ended, workers in the Henschel plants used factory facilities and whatever materials where available to produce objects they needed for everyday life, such as canola oil presses, which they ran at night to transform stolen rapeseed into oil. The managers of the plants under allied operation tolerated this activity. (Source: Henschel-Museum, Kassel. Photo: Pola Sieverding)
